Winter 2015 Skin Care Routine PM

Welcome back to the second part of my winter skin care routine. I use a few more products at night since this is the time skin regenerates and recovers. I won't go into detail about the products I previously talked about but, if you're curious, click here.

1. Boscia Makeup-Breakup Cool Cleansing Oil (5 oz $28)
Product description
A deep cleansing blend of botanical oils that dissolves makeup and impurities while refreshing congested skin.

Let me tell you, I LOVE this stuff! I've repurchased this 3 or 4 times now which I never do with a product. I'm too fickle and there's always something new out there I always want to try. I can't even begin to express how happy I am to have found this stuff! I even got my mom to use this. This does a great job of dissolving any makeup on my face and is excellent for people with sensitive, acne prone skin. I skip the oil cleanser when I don't wear makeup during the day.

2. Forever Flawless Diamond Infused Cleansing Complex (2.03 oz $99)
Product description
This is a unique blend of exclusive minerals, essential oils, and botanical extracts. Extra fine diamond powder is added to our revolutionary formula to gently exfoliate, allowing the multi-vitamin nutrients to penetrate the skin's surface for maximum results. This cleanser effectively washes way make-up and impurities, soothes, hydrates, and refreshes. Antioxidants continue to protect your face after washing from pollution, toxins, and free radicals.

I discovered Forever Flawless when my husband took me to Las Vegas a few years ago. I didn't realize how expensive it was since we paid as a package deal for buying a bunch of products upfront. $99 for a cleanser is ridiculous even if it does contain diamonds! This cleanser is great for winter because it's super creamy and doesn't dry my skin out.

3. June Jacobs Green Tea & Cucumber Toner
4. A sheet mask or regular mask used after toner every 2-3 days.
5. Rooibos Aqua Sprinkler Gel Cream
6. Own Renewing Lifting Eye Crean
7. Recipe By Nature Spray Water Essence
8. D'ran Aqua Wonder Intensive Renewing Serum

9. Dr. Lin Acne Spot Corrector (1 oz $6.99 at Harmon $7.49 at Ulta)
Product description
Formulated with 5% benzoyl peroxide to kill acne causing bacteria, treats inflamed blemishes, dries out blemishes, reduces redness, evens out skin tone and marks caused by acne damage.
Ingredient list
Active:5% Benzoyl Peroxide. Inactive: Water, Glycerin, Polyacrylamide, C13-14, Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Calendula Extract, Arbutin, Kojic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Sodium PCA, Allantoin, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glycosphingolipids, Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazolinone, Fragrance.

I've been using this for a few months now and my skin has improved. I'm not sure if it's because of the spot corrector or a combination of other products. This doesn't cause any flakiness or peeling for me despite the higher benzoyl peroxide count. I previously used 2.5% and was afraid the higher percentage would irritate my skin. This has not improved my red acne marks but I have some really deep, severe marks. I'm pretty sure only time or a trip to the dermatologist could take care of them.

10. A.H.C. Miracle Multi Cream
You can read about this cream here from a previous post. Do not use this if you suffer from oily skin as it is EXTREMELY moisturizing!

And there you have it, my 9-10 step evening skin care routine. It's not as time consuming as it sounds and it's something I look forward to at the end of a long day.

Thanks for stopping by,
Jennifer
