The Balm Nude 'tude Nude Eyeshadow Palette Review

I have been looking for a good affordable eye shadow palette for quite some time. I was unfamiliar with the brand, The Balm, and read that the palette was comparable to Urban Decay's Naked palette. With a "beauty in five minutes" philosophy, the brand is paraben and cruelty free with anti-aging ingredients in their products.

Product Description
This amazing palette consists of 12 beautiful shadows that make wearing nudes sexy! These satiny smooth colors can be applied naturally or beautifully layered. The wide range gives you lights highlighters as well as brazen bold shades that work to add definition and emphasis to your lids. Nude 'tude allows you to dramatically dress your eyes - if nothing else! There are two versions of this palette, Naughty and Nice, and they contain the SAME eyeshadow colors.

Price
I purchased this on Amazon for $24.85 in the Nice version and had some credit in my account. The total cost for me was $0 so I scored a great deal. The price fluctuates on Amazon but you can currently find it for $32.63 in the Nice version or $32.23 in the Naughty version

My Thoughts
Love the packaging on this! The palette arrived in a cardboard sleeve which I will most likely keep to protect the packaging. The palette itself is also made of cardboard with a magnetic closure and quite sturdy. There's a nice mirror on the inside along with a shadow/liner brush which makes this great for travelling, All of the shades are soft and pigmented and I can see why the Nude 'tude is considered a dupe for some high quality shadows out there. The gold shade Snobby is the only one that's chalky, has some fall out, and not quite as pigmented as the rest. Otherwise the pigmentation and consistency of all the shadows are nice and easy to work with.

Final Thoughts
The palette consists of 4 matte shades (Sexy, Serious, Sultry, Sleek) and the rest are shimmery. There are plenty of options for light, shimmery looks and a smoky eye with this but my favorite shades are Sexy and Sultry. With the exception of Snobby, I like all the shades and there's an excellent color payoff. This is a well balanced neutral palette worth the regular price tag.

As always, thanks for stopping by,
Jennifer
