Tony Moly Panda's Dream So Cool Eye Stick Review

I realized a few days after I posted the TesterKorea haul last week that I received the wrong product. I'd actually ordered the Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base. I'm not terribly upset about this as I had been debating between the two when I placed the order. I'll probably pick up the Eye Base at some point anyway so it all worked out for the best.

Product Description
Instantly cool and de-puff tired eyes while minimizing the appearance of fine lines with this multitasking eye stick. Infused with nourishing and hydrating bamboo extracts, this serum cools and soothes skin around the delicate eye area while it hydrates.

Price
The cost will vary for this eye stick depending on where you choose to purchase it. I paid 5460 won (around $5.03) for this at TesterKorea. Remember you must become a member on the site to qualify for the 30% discount. Other places where you can purchase this are at Sephora for $10 (sorry, currently out of stock), Urban Outfitters for $13, or Amazon for $7.48 with free shipping. My Thoughts
Let me be honest here, I purchased the Panda Eye Stick because of the packaging. It's a little panda you can carry everywhere with you. The stick is super light, only 9 grams, and very easy to use. Since this is applied directly to the under eye area, I'm hesitant to use this on an unwashed face so the solution may be to wipe off the top of the stick each time after use.
When you take off the panda cap, there's another plastic lid covering the product to prevent it from drying. Do not throw it away and make sure to put the lid on after every use.

This does have a light fragrance and I can't decide if I like it or not. It smells like something I'm familiar with but I can't for the life of me think of what it is. Definitely does not have a fruity smell. Maybe it's a familiar scent from a body wash?

The product is extremely cooling on the eyes when first applied but that sensation quickly disappears. I imagine this will be especially soothing in the summer. I did use this one morning when I experienced a sleepless night and there was some "de-puffing" action going on. However, this won't work miracles on severe puffiness.

Final Thoughts
Before I forget there are other products in the Tony Moly Panda's Dream line:
Panda's Dream Brightening Eye Base
Panda's Dream Eye Makeup Eraser
Panda's Dream White Magic Cream
Panda's Dream Eye Patch
Panda's Dream White Sleeping Pack
Panda's Dream Goodbye Dark Eye Corrector

I'm conflicted about giving this product a thumbs up or down rating. I have a huge soft spot for the adorable packaging and this does give off a cooling sensation, if only momentarily. If you're looking for moisture under the eyes, this is not the product for you. In fact if you have any issues like dark circles or fine lines, this won't really help or correct those issues. I see this more as a pick me up product for your eyes when they're feeling dry or tired. For $5.03 I'm glad I purchased this eye stick but don't think I'll purchase this again. I certainly would not purchase this for $13 unless you want to pick it up purely for the packaging.

Hope you had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
Jennifer

  1. I have been randomly googling around, trying find out WHAT the smell of this thing reminds me of. I'm relieved that it at least reminds someone else of SOMETHING else, too, even if I still can't figure it out. :)

    1. Haha, it definitely has a scent! and I still can't place what it reminds me of. The first thing I always do with a product is smell it and then associate it with something.
