Memebox Haena Kitty C:at Box First Impressions

I feel like it's been forever since I ordered an actual Memebox. I've missed these bright pink boxes. There have been grumblings about the higher prices and lack of skincare boxes but I still manage to find products to purchase.

I've been impressed with the quality of their makeup products and look forward to each collaboration that is released. In actuality many of the Memebox makeup products are similar to U.S. drugstore prices but made with a much higher quality in my opinion.

Who is Haena?
She is one of Korea's top models and has inspired fashion designers and enthusiasts with her eclectic sense of style. Her full name is Song Hye Na. (I'm used to seeing her name spelled Hye rather than Hae in English) She competed in Korea's Next Top Model Season 2 and was the equavalent of runner up 2 with another contestant. She received some criticism for her height, 5'5, in the competition but believes that being unique helped her get to where she is today. The Haena x Memebox Catwalk Collection is an expression of herself and filled with her top model beauty essentials.

There were two boxes to choose from in Haena's collection: Kitty C:at and Sexy C:at. The differences between the two are the eyeshadow palette and lipstick shades.

Eyeliner Cat Eye-natural brown twist up eyeliner that goes on creamy, sets within 30 seconds and stays waterproof for long lasting wear with a built in sharpener.
The formula is similar to the Memebox I'm Eyeliner with even more creaminess and budge proof properties. I swatched this on my hand and it took quite a bit of rubbing to remove the product. This should work nicely on my oily eyelids in the warmer months plus I'm happy to have received a brown eyeliner for a more natural every day look.

Lash and Brow Mascara-dual ended mascara for the perfect no makeup look. Mascara curls and lengthens without clumping while browcara on the other end fills in the brows.
The one makeup product I can't get into is mascara because it irritates my eyes and clumps up on my sparse lashes. I did find a Physicians Formula organic mascara that I like and have been using once or twice a week. I also don't do anything to my brows except pluck the occasional stray hair. Since I don't use brow products, I'll probably pass this on to someone else.

Shadow Palette #01 Street-a lightweight hydrating shadow you can use on the eyes, cheeks, and brows while providing natural color.

There are 3 shades:
Raga muffin-matte tan beige
Chartreuse lux-sheer bronze shimmer with an orange undertone
Enzotick-matte dark chocolate brown

I love this palette and how versatile it is! This will be great for travel, although the mirror in the palette is too cloudy to rely on for applying makeup. Raga muffin is the least pigmented of the 3 on me but extremely soft and buttery. I can see myself reaching for the palette on a daily basis.

Lipstick #01 Baby Cat-wearable, staple coral lipstick formulated with shea butter and jojoba oil to keep your lips plump and hydrated.

I don't own any lipsticks with orange undertones so this was a good time to try it out. I'm not sure if I can pull it off but the shade is subtle and perfect for the spring/summer season. The formula feels very comfortable on the lips and is quite moisturizing. It feels more like a tinted chap stick because it's so hydrating. I got about 2-3 hours of wear time with this.


Final Thoughts
Once again, I'm impressed with the quality of Memebox makeup! You can tell the brand really takes the time to work with each collaborator in producing high quality products. With the exception of the lash and brow mascara, I can see myself using everything in the box on a regular basis. I used a 15% discount code along with a few points so this was a great deal for me.

These boxes are a waste to throw away so I tear off the top and use them to store makeup or sample foil packets!
