This palette wasn't on my radar of things to purchase but I couldn't pass up a good deal. It was on sale for $25.20 at IT Cosmetics in addition to 20% off for a total of $20.16. Sadly, this deal is no longer available and has returned to its original price.

My Thoughts
This is a Holiday 2014 palette and the "sequel" to the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Eyeshadow Palette that launched in 2013. Unfortunately I do not own that palette so I can't make comparisons between the two. The packaging is made of a sturdy, silver cardboard material and a mirror on the inside.

There are a few shades in this palette with some shimmer and sparkle, mostly the darker colors, but they translate as matte on the eye. They are more like satin mattes than true mattes. The majority of shades have good pigmentation, although some are so similar to my skin tone they tend to blend into my skin. I used primer with these shadows and the wear time was around 7-8 hours with some slight fading. The shadows are incredibly creamy, almost buttery, and very easy to blend. There is some fallout with a few of the shades but matte shades tend to be on the powdery side.
Initially I had no idea what the Transforming Radiance Ribbon was and thought it sounded a little gimmicky. However it adds a subtle warmth to the matte shades and some shimmer. You have the ability to switch between a matte look to a shimmery look in seconds. It also has the ability to sheer the darker colors out and work as a highlighter.

Final Thoughts

Love this palette! I like the anti-aging claims and the shadows do not emphasize or highlight any lines or creasing around the eyes. $42 might seem costly for a palette but the consistency of the shadows are buttery smooth and the matte shades are useful to me for a natural every day look. There might be another sale at IT Cosmetics in the future so bookmark the link I posted above and check back regularly. If you already have matte shadows in your collection with similar shades, then I would pass on this palette. However if you don't own any or very few mattes, this palette is worth the investment.
