My Perfume Collection

I don't have an extensive perfume collection but I have a few that I really love. Lately I've been purchasing rollerballs because it takes me forever to actually finish a perfume bottle.

Shiseido Relaxing Fragrance
Unfortunately this scent has been discontinued so the only places I could find it were on ebay and other sites where they try to reproduce the scent. It's described as a floral green fragrance launched in 1997. The top notes are artemisia, tea rose, cassia, raspberry, cucumber, and bamboo while the middle notes are peony, gardenia, and cardamom.
I have an emotional attachment to this perfume because it is the first one I ever bought and used. My mom used to stop by the Shiseido counter at Macy's and that's how I was introduced it. I've been using it for close to 20 years now. It's a spring/summer scent but I use it all year long. This last bottle I have is one I've been spritzing sparingly for years. I've been keeping it away from sunlight and storing it in the refrigerator during the summers. I love this scent SOOOO much and it holds many memories for me.

Chanel Allure Eau de Toilette 1.7oz ($77)
Product Description
Clean and sheer, warm and sexy. Difficult to define; impossible to resist. Lighter, more relaxed fragrance form is designed for lavish use all over the body.

I have the toilette because the parfum is extremely overpowering. I haven't been using this quite as long as the Shiseido fragrance but it's a close second. I still love the scent but I haven't been grabbing for it like I used to. Once I finish this bottle, I won't repurchase the scent again.

See by Chloe Eau de Parfum 1oz ($55)
An addictive floral fruity fragrance, it captures the irresistible and playful personality of a young woman fully embracing life. The fusing top of juicy bergamot and apple translate her energy and urban edginess. Her natural femininity is conveyed through a beautiful floral bouquet of jasmine and ylang ylang that grows into a sexy veil of vanilla and addictive musks.
Notes: Jasmine, Ylang ylang, Vanilla, musk
Style: Graceful, Feminine, Spontaneous

Towards the end of last year I became interested in finding new fragrances. The best place to make that discovery is Sephora. I mistakenly bought the Eau de Parfum instead of Eau Fraiche. It comes in the same bottle which is, most likely, what caused the confusion when I ordered the fragrance online. I still like the Eau de Parfum but it's not as fruity as the Fraiche.

Jimmy Choo Jimmy Choo 2oz ($78)
Product Description
An expression of the modern woman's aura, this scent at once conveys strength and beauty, glamour and confidence.
Notes: Green, Tiger orchid, Toffee, Sensual Indonesian patchouli
Style: Feminine, Luxurious, Stylish

This was a gift from my cousin who wears this regularly. Honestly I would have never bought the scent on my own. It's a little too "sexy and luxurious" for me. I'm into fruity and floral scents. But, I actually like it and view it as a special occasion perfume. I've only used it a few times so far but will reach for it more often in the future.

I will only purchase rollerballs from now on. As I stated earlier it doesn't make sense for me to buy something that takes me years to finish and rollerballs can be carried around in a purse. You don't get as much value for your money but, on the other hand. I don't want to waste the product.
And then the rollerballs:

Fresh Hesperides Grapefruit 0.34oz ($22)
Product Description
A portable fragrance that features a medley of intoxicating citruses surrounding a crisp grapefruit accord. Sweet notes of mandarin and lemon mixed with warm musk and rhubarb create a fragrance that is classic, clean, and completely addicting.
Notes: Mandarin, Italian lemon, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Lotus flower, Transparent jasmine, Rhubarb, Musk, Peach

To me, this smells amazing! If you're not into grapefruit, you will hate this. This first time I caught a whiff of this, I just knew we were me meant to be. The only downside is the scent dissipates rather quickly, about 10 minutes later. I can smell the scent faintly a few hours later but almost positive other people won't smell a thing. In any case, I looove this!

Daisy Marc Jacobs 0.33oz x 3 ($44 with a value of $72)
This set includes 3 rollerballs: Daisy, Daisy Dream, and Daisy Eau So Fresh. I purchased this during the Sephora VIB sale for 20% off. *The next VIB sale will be sometime in April, only one month to go, with 15% off your purchase(s)*

Daisy notes: Strawberry, Violet leaves, Ruby red grapefruit, Gardenia, Violet petals, Jasmine petals, Musk, Vanilla, White woods
Style: Bright, Alluring, Eternal

Daisy Dream notes: Blackberry, Grapefruit, Pear, Jasmine, Lychee, Blue wisteria, White woods, Musks, Coconut water
Style: Ethereal, Free-spirited, Luminous

Daisy Eau So Fresh notes: Natural rasberry, Grapefruit, Pear, Violet, Wild rose, Apple blossom, Musks, Cedarwood, Plum
Style: Exhilarating, Bubbly, Playful

These 3 scents are all very light, fresh, and clean. These are the types of scents I've been gravitating towards lately. I'd like to add Marc Jacobs Honey to my collection. Some others on my list are the Juicy Couture fragrances, specifically Malibu and La La Malibu, but they don't sell a wide variety in the rollerballs. My plan for this year is to hold out and make purchases from Sephora and Ulta when there is a VIB sale or special promotion with 20% off every brand. What fragrances are on your wish list?

Thanks for stopping by,
Jennifer
