I had a little unplanned vacation from blogging last week, sorry about that! I fully intended to put up one or two posts while I was away but it just never happened. Travelling and a root canal procedure are my only excuses. Anyway, I was very surprised to receive an Influenster box when I returned from my trip. I vaguely remember filling out a survey from them awhile back but don't remember much of anything else. I've been a member on the site for almost two years and am not as active on there as I should be in order to receive more VoxBoxes.

Skinnygirl Tasty Nutrition Bars
I've tried the Skinnygirl Dark Chocolate Pretzel bars in the past but not in the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor I received in the box. They're a bit on the pricey side but they're also quite tasty. These are gluten free and kosher. I'm not too crazy about the 9 grams of sugar alcohol or Stevia in the bar but I guess it's good for people who are diabetic or worried about consuming too much sugar. If you're sensitive to fiber, beware, there's 7 g in this. The 10 g of protein in the bar is particularly useful for brides who will have a long wedding day. Although, when I got married the last thing on my mind was food and it was only after the reception that I realized I was hungry.
Sahale Snacks Grab & Go
I love nuts and dried fruit so this is the perfect snack for me. There are 7 different flavors including the one I received, Classic Fruit + Nut Blend. I want to go out and buy the other 6 flavors: Raspberry Crumble Cashew Mix, Mango Tango Almond Mix, Berry Macaroon Almond Mix, Almonds with Cranberries, Honey + Sea Salt, Cashews with Pomegranate + Vanilla, and California Almonds + Sea Salt.
Neutrogena Hand Cream
I do suffer from some hand dryness during the winters but it's not anything that requires a heavy duty hand cream. However, my husband's got some lizard like hands in the fall/winter seasons. I buy him this Neutrogena Hand Cream and it does a really good job of softening up his hands. I only wish he'd apply it more often but that's another issue. The cream lasts forever, a little goes a long way, is affordable, and lives up to its product claims of healing the driest skin.
Indeed Labs nanoblur
I've used this twice under makeup and found it wasn't compatible with the liquid foundation I used over it. I might have to experiment with the products it works best with or try it over makeup. There seems to be no rule for an application method. This is fragrance free and claims to immediately minimize the signs of aging which is a bit far fetched in my opinion. This will probably work best for oily or combination skin since it leaves the skin feeling powdery matte. The matte finish might not work for dry skin so apply some moisturizer beforehand. Some of the ingredients are irritants so I won't use the nanoblur on a regular basis.
Cover Girl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation

One of my holy grail drugstore foundations is the Cover Girl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation. I'm not sure 810 Classic Ivory is the best match for my skin tone but I can make it work. I'd have to see what 820 looks like in person to determine which works best for me. I've only worn the Outlast Stay Foundation twice so this is more of a first impression than a review. There's a pump! Thank you Cover Girl! The foundation doesn't have much of a scent but I'm reminded of a bag of nuts when I put my nose right up to the product. The word luminous made me a little nervous about using this as a summer foundation, particularly on humid days. (I'll enjoy it more in the winter than summer). The foundation has a medium coverage in my opinion. At first it looks dewy when applied but turns into a satin finish once it sets. It will look more matte if you apply powder over the foundation but turns more "luminous" as the day goes on. This will probably work best for people with slightly dry, normal, or combination skin. With my oily skin in the summer, it doesn't offer any oil control and I found myself wanting and needing to blot every 2 hours.
Cover Girl Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick
I received Red Siren and there are a total of 12 shades in the line. I won't list them below so click
here if you're interested in the shade range. I haven't tried too many Cover Girl lipsticks but the ones I've tried haven't made an impression on me. Sadly, I feel the same way about this longwear lipstick. To be fair I only have one shade so it's not the most accurate assessment. There's a plastic, chemical, faint strawberry scent to the lipstick which puts my nose in overdrive and there's a taste which I really dislike. The packaging drives me nuts because the lipstick doesn't fully twist down like the Wet n Wild lipsticks. It can make a mess and leave the lipstick case quite dirty.The pigmentation is nice with a semi matte finish. This has a lot of shimmer when swatched on the hand but it doesn't show as much on the lips. I do have to say that the lipstick is quite creamy but I missed the memo on the long wear part as it only lasted 2-3 hours on me.
UrgentRx Ache & Pain Relief
It's ironic that I received this since my root canal tooth is still bothering me. Personally, I prefer Advil for any sort of aches and pains but it doesn't hurt to carry this around just in case. I'm not all that fond of a lemon-lime flavor drink since it reminds me of Gatorade or Emergen-C. When you're in pain I guess it doesn't matter what pain relief tastes like but rather how well the product works.
Final Thoughts
This is a great box which I'm really enjoying. It's given me an incentive to stay active on Influenster and log in to the site on a daily basis. There are brand badges I need to unlock with this I Do VoxBox to earn points and have a chance to win some prizes.
