Price
These matte lip colors will set you back a whopping $3. I currently own 8 shades. You can find them at e.l.f., Harmon, Old Navy, Target and at your local CVS.

Packaging
The packaging is similar to all the products in the e.l.f. Studio line with the signature black color. It has a simple yet sleek look about it.
The box itself is much bigger than the actual lip color, 0.05 oz. You can get a general idea of what shade you're reaching for because the shades are shown at the top of the product. A time saver when you're in a hurry to get out the door.
If you twist open the tip, there is a sharpener inside.

Scent
I do not detect a scent or taste. :)

My Thoughts
The lip colors apply creamy and dry down to a matte finish. There is a slight dryness to the formula which makes the product tug against non moisturized lips. I found this to be true for the more neutral shades like Natural and Coral. I would suggest exfoliating beforehand and applying a lip balm underneath these. The product will cling to any dry patches or emphasize fine lines if you have dry lips.
The product looks like a hybrid between a lip liner and lip crayon. The pointed tip allows for easy control and a precise application to the lips.
Since my lips are fairly pigmented I found the neutral shades to be a miss with me. Also some of the shades look very similar when applied to the lips. In pictures there isn't much of a difference between Natural, Coral, and Dash of Pink for me. The pigmentation is a little better in person but not by much. The darker shades like Rich Red and Wine are very pigmented and the wear time is much longer. Depending on the shade the wear time of the product with eating and drinking is between 2-5 hours.
From Left to Right: Natural, Coral, Dash of Pink, Tea Rose, Praline, Berry Sorbet, Rich Red, Wine
Final Thoughts
For $3 the e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Colors are good products. (I managed to grab 4 of them during a 40% off sale.) Now, do I think you need to run out and grab all 11 shades? Probably not. But everyone should have one or two in their makeup collection. My favorite shades are Tea Rose and Wine. I'm sort of tempted to purchase the shade Cranberry but it's always sold out on the e.l.f. website. I suppose it's a sign that I should hold off on buying more lip products I don't need.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
