Memebox Haul #1

Last week Memebox had an amazing $5 deals and steals sale. I'm assuming these items were either being discontinued or Memebox needed to clear out some inventory. Whatever the reason, the sale was too good of an opportunity to pass up. (That's what I say to myself every time there's a sale.)

There was some major frustration involved in the ordering process and it was a rather nerve wracking experience. Perhaps I'm being a little melodramatic but I am a musician by trade. By the time I was ready to check out of my cart, half of the products in it were sold out. This happened to me multiple times and I lost things like the Holika Holika Naked Foundation Powder, some Peripera lip products, and a Peripera BB Cushion. Memebox was adding products to the sale page each day at random times. Basically you either got lucky or had to stalk the site and be ready to check out in a hot minute. I had no time to research what I was buying but, hey, you can't even purchase most drugstore products for $5 these days.

Now on to the interesting stuff with my $30 order valued at $135.

The Face Shop Stylist Silky Hair Color Cream in Golden Brown ($9)
This hair dye is specially formulated to give your hair a vibrant shade while also treating hair damage. It contains a treatment conditioner that fully nourishes the hair to help the hair recover from coloring. This hair color is perfect for beginners because it's incredibly easy to use and gives amazing results. This hair color is permanent and won't fade after a few washes!
How to use:
Step 1: Open the #1 tube (hair colorant) and mix it to bottle #2 (developer).
Step 2: Shade the bottle vigorously until it’s very well mixed.
Step 3: Apply evenly onto the hair and leave for 30 minutes.
Step 4: After 30 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water and wash with treatment conditioner.
Step 5: Blow dry to see beautiful results!
Suzy from Miss A
Ingredients: Ammonium Hydroxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Mineral Oil, Diemthicone, Diphenyl Dimethicone, Steareth-2, Steartrimonium Chloride, Diemthicone, Stearic Acid, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Fragrance, Polyquaternium-6, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Water, Hydrogen Peroxide, Sodium Phosphate, Disodium Phosphate, Etridronic Acid, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Paraffin, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Glyceryl Cocoate, Propylene Glycol, Water, Propylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Myristyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Amodimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Raffinose, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Alcohol, Polyquaternium-64, Laureth-23, Laureth-4, Steartrimonium Chloride, Behentrimonium Chloride, Disodium EDTA, Propylparaben, Methylisothiazolinone, Methylparaben
I'm loving my lighter highlights right now but I don't want to shell out money to redye it next year. I'm a newbie to the world of hair coloring but I'm addicted to it now. The Face Shop's hair dye process seems relatively easy and $5 for a different hair style is pretty awesome in my book. I'll keep this hair color cream tucked away in a cabinet until I'm ready for a different look.

It's Skin Lemon Hug Oil Patch (10 pcs for $6)
These cutely packaged lemon patches are made for your cheeks. Created to nourish this area, these little patches are formulated with lemon peel, lemon fruit extract, grapefruit extract, and castor oil to deliver numerous skin benefits. Brighten and naturally exfoliate the apples of your cheeks with the Vitamin C and E. The castor oil in this mask helps alleviate many skin maladies such as dryness, acne, skin discoloration and fine lines.
How to use: Remove mask from sachet.  Place the mask on clean and toned cheeks.  Leave on for 3-5 minutes, then dispose the cheek mask, and gently pat the remaining product into your skin.
Never used cheek patches before but thought they looked interesting. I've got acne, discoloration, and fine lines so here's to hoping it really does alleviate these issues. I was debating ordering more than one but ultimately decided against it. It was only $3 but I didn't want to waste money on something that could be gimmicky. This is a discontinued product but I've seen it sold on Amazon, Tester Korea, or Korea Depart.

Clio Tension Lip Lipstick in 8 Chu ($23)
Classic bold hues that never go out of style. Master the red lips with these pigmented, moisturizing lipsticks in 8 versatile, wearable shades. Gives a beautiful color to the lips.
How to use: Moisturize with lip balm. Apply directly.
I wonder if this line of lipsticks are drying because it's suggested to use a lip balm beforehand. I've never tried any of Clio's lip products before and paying $5, for a mid to slightly verging on high priced brand, was a good enough reason to purchase the lipstick. Gong Hyo Jin, a very well known actress in Korea, is the face for Clio and all the lip products from the brand look amazing on her. Shade 8 is described as a cherry red.

Bergamo CC Cream SPF 50 ($32)
Provides a flawless and dewy finish without the greasy and heavy feeling on the skin. Its lightweight texture easily blends onto the skin and also moisturizes, primes and protects (SPF 50) the skin all throughout the day. This multifunctional CC Cream also helps in controlling excessive oil production and gradually fades dark spots/acne scars with continuous usage.
How to use: Dispense 1 to 2 pumps of the Bergamo CC Cream and apply onto clean face using fingertips, foundation brush or sponge. Spread evenly and blend until it matches your skin tone.
I really didn't need another CC Cream but the product description was calling out my name. No greasy feeling, controls excessive oil production, fades dark spots/acne scars? Yup, sign me up. I'm assuming the coverage isn't quite what I need since it is a CC Cream but it might serve more as a skincare product/base for me.

I was pretty ecstatic to have snagged the next two products!

Dr. Jart+ Pore Medic Pore Minish Mist ($30)
Need a quick re-fresh midday?  We have the perfect solution, this mattifying, oil canceling powder-toner mist combo helps control the production of excess oils to refresh and rehydrate your skin. Formulated with Witch Hazel, Evermat, Dynalift, and a Patented Herb Complex to tighten, purify, calm your skin and set your makeup.
How to use: Shake well and fully mix layers.  Spray 8-10 inches away from face pointing the spray upward so the mist gently settles on our face.
Ingredients: Water, Dipropylene glycol, Butylene Glycol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Betaine, Sodium chloride, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Citrus Paradisi Fruit Extract, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Eugenia Caryophyllus Flower Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Zinc Oxide, Panthenol, Kaolin, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Fragrance, Hamamelis Virginiana Water, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Fomes Officinalis Extract, Enantia Chlorantha Bark Extract, Oleanolic acid, Sodium polystyrene sulfonate, Glycerin, Sericin, Rhus Semialata Gall Extract, Betula Platyphylla Japonica Juice, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Salvia Officinalis Leaf Extract, Lavender Flower/leaf/stem Extract, Lavender Flower/leaf/stem Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract

I'm almost out of my Innisfree makeup setting spray which I'm feeling indifferent about. I could use some extra help with oil control during the day and maybe I won't have to go through so many oil blotting sheets. Everything about this mist sounds perfect for my current skin type.

Dr. Jart+ Pore Medic Pore Minish Primer ($32)
Diminish and reduce the look of your pores and wrinkles with this matte and refining primer in a heartbeat.  Formulated to treat and tighten enlarged pores from the inside out.  Deliver moisture while keeping your skin from producing unnecessary oils and improving elasticity.  Contains Mushroom Extract, Hyaluronic Acid and Beatine to tone, purify, soften and improve elasticity to create that refined translucent skin texture.
Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Propanediol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimithicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Betaine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Fomes Officinalis (Mushroom) Extract, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Isohexadecane, Polysorbate 80, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit, Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Pinus Sylvestris Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil
I didn't necessarily NEED another primer since I'm happy with the 3W Clinic Collagen Make-up Base. You can read about it here. However it's always good to find other options for products and the Pore Primer along with the Pore Mist should keep me less oily during the warmer months.

The last product I purchased wasn't part of the $5 sale but I needed to get my order to $30 for free shipping.
SNP POP Troubled Skin Care Essence Sheet Mask ($3) on sale for $2
This mask sheet contains highly concentrated skin essence that penetrates the pores to fully nourish the skin and improve its texture. SNP’s POP Troubled Skin Care Essence Sheet soothes troubled and irritated skin from acne breakouts. It contains a special blend of herbal extracts that supplies nutrients onto the skin to help it recover from skin aggravation.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Polysorbate 80, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Disodium EDTA, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Arctium Lappa Root Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Carica Papaya Leaf Extract, Chitosan, Pytosphingosine, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Allantoin, Perfume

Final Thoughts
I hope Memebox does another sale like this in the future. While it was frustrating to lose wanted items in my shopping cart, I still managed to purchase some great products.
