The Botanic Farm Box was part of my order from Memebox during the July 4th sale with 30% off any purchase over $100. This box has sold out and been restocked over the course of two months so don't lose hope when the boxes you want sell out quickly. Just keep checking the site regularly and subscribe to their newsletter.
In my last Memebox unboxing I mentioned the change in packaging. The inside of the box is still pink but the outside looks like a regular old box. The previous boxes were good for storing makeup, samples and any other miscellaneous stuff. You could cut off the top of the box and make dividers for the bottom portion where products are stored.
Here is a little information about the brand according to their website. At Botanic Farm, we believe in going green and protecting the environment. That's why the ingredients used in our products are grown on our farms. Our products are made from natural ingredients. We guarantee that all our products are made from natural grains, plants and flowers. We use recycled fabrics for our masks and patches. All printed materials are made from soy ink. We constantly strive to find ways to provide great quality products as well as protect the environment.
BOTANIC FARM BOX
Many of you are new to Botanic Farm so we’ve curated a box with their products so you can get introduced to their brand. Get ready to transform your skin with their skincare and cosmetics! Their wacky and out-of-the-ordinary ingredients like camel milk, black soybean, and many others will help revive, regenerate and renew your skincare game.
Natural Energy Mask Sheet-Kiwi ($2)
This cellulose 3 layer sheet mask provides nutrition and intense moisture to skin that needs revival. Kiwi contains ingredients that reveal glowing and renewed skin. The vitamin C in this fruit helps skin increase collagen production, while the high amount of vitamin E leaves skin moisturized and conditioned.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Alcohol , Betaine, Citrus Paradisi Fruit Extract, Xanthan Gum, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Actinidia Chinensis Fruit Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Lonicera Japonica Flower Extract, Prunus Persica Leaf Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance
I have the Cherry Blossom Mask from a previous Memebox sitting in my sheet mask stash. As we get closer to fall, you'll be seeing more sheet masks in my empty products post. It's too humid and hot right now for me to be using sheet masks unless it's geared towards oily and blemish prone skin like the Leaders Balancing Recovery Mask or the Missha Pure Source Lemon sheet mask. In any case, you can't go wrong with sheet masks in a subscription box.
Natural Energy Mask Sheet-Rose ($2)
Botanic Farm's bestselling sheet mask! Formulated with rosehip extract, this sheet mask delivers many skincare benefits. It smooths fine lines, moisturizes, and firms.
Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, PEG/PPG-17/6 copolymer, Niacinamide, PEG-75, Citrus Paradisi Fruit Extract, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Rosa Centifolia Flower Extract, Astringent, Xanthan Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, Saussurea Involucrata Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Sophora Angustifolia Root Extract, Lonicera Japonica Flower Extract, Prunus Persica Leaf Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance
Beside the Kiwi and Rose sheet masks, there are several other varieties: Sea Mustard, Rice, Cherry Blossom, Ginseng, Avocado, and Olive.
Polar Energy Hydrogel Mask Pack-Camel Milk ($5)
This sheet mask delivers multiple beautifying functions. Camel milk locks in moisture and protects skin from external pollutants. It also moisturizes and smooths wrinkles and fine lines.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Adenosine, Carrageenan, Milk camel (1000ppm), Milk Protein, Avena Sativa Meal Extract, Licorice Root Extract, Ginger Root Extract, Schizandra Chinensis Fruit Extract, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ceratonia Siliqua Gum, Chlorphenesin, Disodium EDTA, Cellulose gum, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Polyacrylate, Allantoin, Calcium Carbonate, Corn Starch modified, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Fragrance
I haven't encountered camel milk in any of my skincare products until now. It slightly weirds me out but if it "beautifies" I can get over it. (Does anyone else have images of camels spitting when you think about them?) Products with camel milk are a natural source of alpha hydroxy acids for softening the skin. It can help stop the itching and flaking associated with psoriasis and eczema. It may also be effective, based on reports from customers, in the treatment of acne, dermatitis, and rosacea.
The other varieties in the hydrogel masks line are Salmon Egg, Syn-ake, Hippophae Rhamnoides, Harpagophytum Procumbens, and Caulerpa Lentillifera.
Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbet ($30)
This firm creamy solid makeup remover has 3 kinds of grains: rice, rice bran, and soybean ferment extract. Once applied to skin it transforms into oil and works as an oil cleanser.
Ingredients: Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Polyethylene, PEG-10 isostearate, Rice Ferment Filtrate 100 ppm (sake), Saccharomyces/Rice Bran Ferment 100pp, Lactobacillus/soybean Ferment Extract 100ppm, Trihydroxystearin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance
Aside from wanting to try more products from Botanic Farm, this cleansing sherbet was one of the main reasons I wanted this box. I love oil cleansers and how well they melt and remove makeup. According to the directions, you should massage this all over the face until the makeups melts and then wipe off with a tissue. I'm going to skip the tissue part and see if I can use water to rinse it ooff like I do with my current oil cleansers. I'm super curious to see what this smells like but I have two cleansing oils open at the moment. The grains in the cleanser remind me of of one of my favorite meals, rice with a fermented soybean paste in a stew (된장 찌개). Why am I always hungry for Korean food when I write up these unboxings?
Black Soybean Milk Pudding Sleeping Pack ($28)
Beautify your skin while you sleep! Formulated with black beans and New Zealand colostrum extract to nourish and moisturize the skin. This products contains skin whitening and anti-aging properties.
Ingredients: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Betaine, Cyclohexasiloxane, Hydrolyzed collagen, Lactobacillus/soybean Ferment Extract, Theobroma Cacao Extract, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Glycine Soja Seed Extract, Monascus Extract, Milk Protein, Carthamus Tinctorius Flower Extract, Glycerin, Urea, PEG-240/HDI Copolymer Bis-Decyltetradeceth-20 Ether, Polysorbate 20, Dimethicone, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, Dimethiconol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Adenosine, Aminomethyl propanol, Sodium Polyacrylate, PVM/ma copolymer, Maltodextrin, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance
This sleeping pack will be another fall/winter product for me. Sometimes I wish I had drier skin so I could use sleeping packs and thicker moisturizers during every season. The grass is always greener on the other side I suppose. Both the oil cleanser and sleeping pack come with a scooper/spatula to avoid contaminating the products. I used to get pretty excited when I saw niacinamide in the ingredient list but it doesn't seem to have much of an effect on my hyperpigmentation. The only product that's come close to any sort of whitening is the Secret Key Snow White Milky Lotion from a previous box. I'll give more of an update or review of the sleeping pack when my skin becomes drier.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Another good box I'm happy to have purchased. It's nice to see less familiar brands sold on Memebox. The company is starting to introduce more and more brands on the site so I hope we'll see them incorporated into boxes. The Botanic Farm box is currently in stock for $35 with a value of $67. You can also purchase these items individually on the website if you aren't interested in the box.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
Jennifer
