A vitamin recharging, tone brightening essence that enriches dull, dehydrated skin with 6 different vitamins, lemon extracts, orange extracts, grapefruit extracts, lime extracts, and niacinamide.
This essence came in the Citrus Care Memebox and retails for $18. This not sold on the Korean sites I typically use or are considered reputable so I'm not sure how to get my hands on it. I did check eBay for a seller but she received the essence in a Memebox as well. I might make a request to TesterKorea to sell this brand since I'm interested in trying their Vitamin Recharger Mist.
The first thing I looked at was the ingredient list which includes the good stuff like sodium hyaluronate, niacinamide, and various fruit extracts. There are no parabens or alcohol in the essence, so this would be great for anyone with sensitive or acne prone skin.
The packaging is very simple and in a sturdy plastic bottle. I like that the brand included a safety cap for the pump which makes it travel friendly. The product doesn't smell horrible but it doesn't smell great either. You don't really notice the scent unless you place your nose directly up to the essence. When you do, it smells like Lysol or Clorox wipes which you often get with citrus based products. In any case, the scent doesn't bother me because it's not overpowering.
The consistency on this is watery which makes sense since water is the first ingredient listed. It's not runny or thick either, almost gel-like. The essence is easy to apply and absorbs quickly into the skin. You can apply serum immediately afterwards without waiting for this to skin into the skin. *I might feel differently about the thinner texture of the essence in the winter time but it's perfect for the spring and summer seasons.*
For those of you that aren't sure when to use essences in your skincare routine, it is applied after toner and before applying serum. Don't forget to apply it on the neck as well. And how you apply the essence is important as well, simply pat or press it gently into the face with your hands. I love this Unni Recipe Vitamin Recharger Essence! It brightens my skin and and takes the red out of acne scars every time I use it. If I can find where to purchase this essence, I will absolutely repurchase. Hopefully Tester will honor my request to sell this or I'll have to inconvenience my Korean relatives to find it for me.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
