Price
I received this curling iron from Remington as a part of their First Look program. Remington did not compensate or ask me to write a review on their behalf. All opinions are my own. So, you can purchase this retractable curling iron from Remington for $17.99 or from Target for $19.99 and receive a free $10 gift card with a $40 purchase using the promo code BEAUTY.

My Thoughts
This curling iron is very compact and the collapsible barrel really saves space in a suitcase and purse. I love the idea that you can carry this around in your purse and quickly fix some loose curls throughout the day if you have somewhere important to go. I was a little perplexed when examining the iron because there are no buttons or switch settings. You simply plug in the curling iron, pull up the barrel, and it turns on. There is an ON light that indicates if the barrel is heating but mine doesn't light up. I'm a little annoyed I won't be able to tell if the barrel is heating but you can smell and feel the heat.
With the barrel being a little shorter in length than other curling irons I use, I had to practice a little to get the curls I wanted. This curling iron is best for medium-long hair. I have some layers that are a little above the shoulder and they were tricky to curl. Also, there is no glove included with this and it's necessary in my opinion. Luckily I had a glove so I was in luck. The barrel heats up quickly and once you're done unplug the iron and push the tip of the barrel back in.
