Memebox No Makeup Makeup

Surprise, it's another Memebox! The contents of this particular box were not a surprise because the products inside were shown on the website. I kind of like that you know what you're going to get beforehand although it does take the element of surprise and excitement away. In any case more than half the products in the box were things I've been curious about.

Box Description #naturalbeauty
Your face but better. It's all about enhancing your natural features. We've curated a goodie box with everyday, easy to use items that can help you achieve a no makeup look. With proper skincare, you will feel beautiful without makeup. Once you have a flawless canvas, you only need a few makeup products for that natural, "I woke up like this" look.

The box contains 5 products.

Goodal Phytoshine Acaiberry Brightening Toner ($30)
In order to pull off an almost naked face you'll need proper skincare. This toner delivers nourishment with essential skin nutrients that brighten up dull skin. It's moisturizing, balancing, and brightening. Reveal luminous skin so you can skip BB, CC, or foundation.
Goodal's range of skincare products are made with natural ingredients that are suitable for all skin types. The Phyto line is a basic skincare line that uses wild plants and natural ingredients without any chemicals in its products. This line is good for daily use on all skin types with it's lighter texture and won't cause irritation to the skin. The Phyto line is divided into two categories: Phytotrain Moisture Care Range and Phytoshine Brightening Care Range. Besides the toner there is a cleansing foam, emulsion, and cream in the brightening line. As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm currently in love with toners and the Goodal toner was one of the main reasons I purchased this box.
There is methylparaben in the toner but it is the last ingredient. I've become a tad more relaxed about parabens in products lately if it's towards the end of the list.

Missha Cacao & Cream Facial Scrub ($13)
Regular exfoliation removes dead skin cells and increases cell turnover. This creamy scrub helps remove dead skin cells and impurities without irritation and provides moisture. Contains botanical ingredients such as sunflower oil and lavender to help soothe sensitive skin.
I've never used a "creamy" scrub but it makes me want to use this during the winter months. You can see the scrub from the bottom of the packaging and it looks like Oreo ice cream. Wonder if you can smell the cacao in this, yum. There's also a plastic spatula for hygienic purposes which I appreciate. I just opened Skin 79's Sweet Honey Sugar Scrub so I might not open this Missha scrub for awhile.

XO Memebox I'm Lip Tint Balm #02 True Red ($7)
Formula reacts with lip's temperature to enhance your natural color leaving a subtle tint. Mango butter and jojoba seed oil form a moisturizing coat over the lips to minimize flaking and drying. Retinol infusion keeps lips healthy, youthful, and wrinkle free.
On the info card and the Memebox website #02 is listed as Flash Neon Pink and #01 as True Red. On the packaging #02 is True Red, so there must have been a mistake somewhere along the way. I was fine receiving any color since the shades were randomly selected in each box. I've gotten so used to the pigmentation of Etude House's Sugar Tint Balm that I expected the same of Memebox's Tint Balm. I had to swipe True Red 5-6 times on my arm before I noticed some color. When I applied it to my lips, the color didn't really show either and rubs off easily. I might try putting a little concealer on my lips to see if that will help the shade show up. The balm smells faintly of vanilla. I dislike anything vanilla scented but you can barely smell it. I do have to say the formula of the balm is extremely moisturizing and will work well for dry lips so I'll use this more like a chapstick or nightly treatment instead.

Soyoung X Memebox Lovely Concealer #01 ($11)
We just don't think you can pull off the no makeup look without a handy concealer for skin imperfections like dark circles, discoloration, and acne scarring. This creamy, hydrating concealer blends effortlessly to hide your imperfections and brighten.

I was waiting for this concealer to show up in a box so I could try it. I'm building up quite the concealer collection through Memebox which I don't mind at all. My rule is to have 2-3 concealers open at one time so I'm going to practice restraint until I finish one. I'm almost done with my L'oreal True Match crayon concealer so it won't be too long of a wait.

XO Memebox I'm Cream Blush #05 Emma ($10)
A slight flush of color on the cheeks can make all the difference. This blendable cream blush dries to a lightweight powdery finish for a natural, long lasting color.

I was never really able to use cream blushes before because of my cheek acne. It would rub concealer and foundation off easily so I avoided them. I haven't had cheek acne in 3 months (knock on wood) so I've been experimenting with cream blushes. They give a nice natural flushed look to the cheeks which is harder for me to achieve with powder blushes.

Final Thoughts
I'm going to use all the products in the No Makeup Makeup Box although I am a little disappointed with the lack of pigmentation in the tint balm. I'm excited to use everything else in the box. It is currently in stock so grab it now if you're interested. This is $39 with a value of $71. I purchased it for $27.15 with a discount and points, yay! Don't forget to use the promo code 'ENJOY' to get 15% off on your order.

As always, thanks for stopping by!
Jennifer
