Memebox Botanic Farm Sparkling Pop Set

About a month ago Memebox provided a discount code of 25% off specified sparkling water products. There were products from 3 brands (Leader Insolution, Innisfree, and Botanic Farm) and I chose to go with the Botanic Farm Sparkling Pop Set.

Sparkling mineral water has become quite popular in Korean skincare lately because the minerals in it contain healing properties which can soothe irritated skin and stimulate the skin by improving blood circulation which helps in collagen production.

ABOUT THE BRAND
Botanic Farm is a Korean natural brand and the signature line of Emily Cosmetic. The brand launched in March of 2014 and does not use parabens, phenoxyethanol, mineral oil, talc, or triethanolamine in their products. This is a great option for those that have a problem with these ingredients or choose to avoid them.

PRICE
The Botanic Farm Sparkling Pop Set is still available on the Memebox site for $29. At the time I purchased the set, it was sold for $34. But, I had the 25% discount code and some points so I paid $13.50 for the set. The set is already a bargain but I'm super happy with the money I saved.

MY THOUGHTS
Keep in mind this is NOT a review! Typically I will test products for 3-4 weeks before I write up a review so this is more of a first impressions. I've used all three products from the Sparkling Pop Set twice so it's not enough time to form detailed thoughts about them.
I really like the color choice for the products, a light blue-green, and the packaging. The toner & mist is in a clear plastic bottle with a pump. The serum is in a frosted plastic bottle with a dropper and the cream is in a frosted plastic jar. I wish the cream came with a spatula for hygienic reasons but I do have several of them laying around. They all contain 50 ml of product.
There is a scent to all of the products which I find light and refreshing. I'm not quite sure how to describe it but I smell hints of citrus and floral notes.

Toner & Mist: I used this once as a toner and felt like I was wasting product by spraying it onto a cotton pad. My preference is to use this as mist when I need a little refresher or hydration throughout the day.
Serum: The serum has a thin watery consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin. I find you only need 2-3 drops as opposed to the recommended 4-5 drops in the directions and it has a cooling sensation on the skin.
Cream: This is thicker in consistency than the other two products and has a whipped souffle like texture. It spreads wonderfully so a little goes a long way. I wouldn't recommend scooping out too much cream (if you have oily skin) because it left me a little greasy. However, it leaves the skin feeling very soft and hydrated.

FINAL THOUGHTS
This set is geared for those with oily skin but anyone with combination skin will also enjoy these products as well. If you have normal skin, you may need to slather on more of the cream or use the set during the day and switch out to different products at night. Don't bother with the set if you've got dry skin! I'm happy I purchased the Botanic Farm Set and will add the products into my skincare routine this fall. It's probably a little too heavy for the summer and I'll need something more moisturizing in the dead of winter. Winters in NYC can be quite cold and dry so my skin changes from oily to combination. I'll write an update on the set in an empties post when I finish the products.

Thanks for stopping by!
