Tester Korea Haul + Harmon

I've done a little shopping at Harmon Face Values and Tester Korea over the course of the past few weeks. By now, if you're a regular reader of my blog, you know my love for Harmon and their discounts. You can use those 20% off coupons from Bed Bath & Beyond on a single item in addition to manufacturer coupons. I had an extra incentive to shop at the store because they sent me a $20 off $50 purchase coupon. After reading so many positive reviews about the concealer, I wanted to try it out. It's supposed to work well under the eyes but I will use it to cover existing acne and hyperpigmentation. I had an extra manufacturer coupon for $2 off any Maybelline face product in addition to $1.98 off the original price which brought the total to a whopping $1.31. Not bad for a drugstore concealer.

The cream matte pencil feels extremely smooth and comfortable on lips, while the blurring smudger creates your own looks from full-on bold to softly blurred.

How to use: To achieve the softly blurred look, apply color in the center of your top and bottom lips. Using the smudger, gently blur the color out towards the edges of your top lip and then bottom lip.

I spotted the Lip Blurs over a month ago but resisted the urge to purchase them. Of course I caved and after reading several reviews. I was tempted to buy more shades but talked myself out of it. I'm not a fan of the smudger part but am still in the process of testing the 3 I have. I'm planning on writing a more detailed review on these so check back for it.


NYX Butter Gloss in Raspberry Tart ($4.99)

Since I wrote a review of the butter glosses not too long ago, I won't go into detail about them. To read my thoughts about them, click here. Raspberry Tart is my latest addition and I now have 10 out of the 22 shades in the line. The shade looks a little scary in the tube but it's a very wearable purple.


FROM TESTER KOREA

I only purchased 2 items from Tester and it was from the 80% event section. Many of the products from there are heavily discounted so I suggest you look there often. I've discovered some hidden gems from the samples section as well. I've included a screenshot below of my order with the cost of each item and the total shipping cost which is determined by weight. Keep in mind you pay with Korean won and the current conversion rate is always listed on Tester's site.

Echoice Green Tea Oil Control Paper 80 sheets ($0.60)

I figure a product description is not necessary for oil blotting sheets. These smell so good, exactly like green tea. I've used a few sheets so far and they do the job with picking up oil. 80 sheets for 60 cents, that's cheaper than going to the dollar store! You have to factor in a few more dollars for the $5.45 shipping cost.


Etude House Petit Bijou Peach Touch Eau de Toilette ($8.52 for 1.01 oz)
Eau de toilette with a lovely peach and rose fragrance.

The Petit Bijou range was created by the master perfumer Laurent Bruyere (Amor Amor by Cacharel, Alien by Thierry Mugler, Polo Blue by Ralph Lauren) and the bottle designed by Elie Papiernik (Fragile by Jean Paul Gaultier, Cool Water Wave by Davidoff, Ultra Violet by Paco Rabanne). OMG, this smells so good to me! I took a risk in buying this since I was going off the product description. It's fresh with a touch of peach that lasts for a few hours. I highly suggest this if you're into fruity floral scents and don't want to pay an arm and a leg for a fragrance. FYI the Eau de Toilette is sold out on the Etude House website.


Samples

If you are first time customer or spend 30,000 won or more, Tester will give you 8 sample packets. I wasn't expecting any samples with my order since the total cost including shipping was well under 30,000. Somehow I was lucky enough to have samples included in my order.
