Memebox Fountain of Youth Box

It's been three weeks since I purchased and received a Memebox which is a record for me. I'm trying to resist the urge to buy every single box that tempts me and think about what I need in my skincare and makeup stash. I also had a little credit card fraud incident where someone decided to spend the night at a hotel and splurge at Chanel. A thief with expensive taste? It took a week to get a new credit card so it basically forced me to stop spending. Anyway, the Fountain of Youth theme was something that caught my attention because who doesn't want to stay #ForeverYoung?

Fountain of Youth Box #ForeverYoung
We don’t know about you but we aim to maintain beautiful skin for as long as possible. That’s why we’re always looking for the latest anti-aging product. Ever heard of that mythical fountain that is said to restore youth? While such a fountain may not exist, fabulous skincare goodies that can maintain the appearance of youth do exist. The gems in this box will target those aging skincare concerns that many of us stress over.

SNP Pop Wrinkle Care Essence Sheet Mask ($3)
Contains a highly concentrated skin essence that penetrates the pores to fully nourish the skin and improve its texture, marine collagen extract which promotes skin elasticity and firmness to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, acai berry which is rich in antioxidants and thoroughly removes skin dirt and toxins for a brighter and healthier complexion.
Directions: After washing and toning, place mask sheet onto the face for 15-20 minutes. Afterwards, gently remove the mask and dispose. Warm palms by gently rubbing them together and wrap around the face for better absorption.
This is the first SNP product I've ever received. I'm familiar with the brand because of the popularity of their Animal Masks. They've been a big hit in Korea and abroad gaining attention for the masks' trendy design. The company launched in 2009 as a brand specializing in skin troubles. The Acsys and pore tightening line are the most loved products by customers according to the CEO of SNP, Park Seol Woong, who previously worked for a health food company. I will try this sheet mask when the weather cools down a little. I'm currently dealing with very oily skin and some breakouts so sheet masks are not in my current routine. For those of you sensitive to alcohol, ethanol is the second ingredient in the mask.

Banila Co. The Black 17 Sleeping Pack ($17)
A nutrient rich sleeping pack made with a complex of 17 black food ingredients like black bean, black sesame, blackberry, acai, and cocoa. It has a gel like texture that is quickly absorbed by the skin and deeply hydrates the skin leaving it soft and supple while nourishing the skin to reveal healthy skin.
Directions: After cleansing and toning, apply to skin. Leave on overnight and wash off in the morning.
Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene glycol, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Corn Starch, Gardenia Florida Fruit Extract, Eggplant Fruit Juice, Black Currant Fruit Extract, Garlic, Rice Extract, Cinnamomum cassia, Cocoa Extract, Grape, Pepper Seed Extract, Elder, Rubus Coreanus Fruit Extract, Mulberry, Carthamus Tinctorius Flower Extract, Trehalose, Glycosyl Trehalose, Hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, Capryl glycol, Potassium Hydroxide, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Mannitol, Choline, Ethylhexylglycerin, Betaine, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Carbomer Caffeine, Black bean extract, Chaga mushroom extract, corthellus Shiitake Mushroom Extract, black sugar powder, Acai berry extract, Aronia Fruit Extract
This sleeping pack was released as a spoiler so I knew it would be included in the box. It seems to be highly regarded based on other reviews I've read. I must be hungry because I'm thinking of Korean dishes I love eating which include some of the sleeping pack ingredients. 흑임자죽 (black sesame porridge),떡 (Korean rice cake) with black sesame, and 짜장면 (noodles with black bean sauce). Anyhoo, I'll also be trying this out when the weather cools down. The last thing I want is extra hydration but I'm excited to test this out as we get closer to fall.

Holika Holika Black Caviar Anti Wrinkle Emulsion ($30)
A lightweight daily moisturizer that uses caviar and gold extracts to create a youthful appearance. Caviar and gold extracts rejuvenate skin by supplying collagen and elastin with essential nutrients that promote cell production. This emulsion can erase the appearance of existing wrinkles and prevent future ones.
Directions: After applying essence, use an adequate amount all over the face. Pat lightly to help absorption.
Ingredients: Water,Caviar Extract,Hydrogenated Polyisobutene,Glycerin,Buthylene glycol,Cetyl Ethylhexanoate,Cyclopentasiloxane,Betain,Canola Oil,Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate,C14-22 Alcohols,Phytosteryl/Isostearyl/Cetyl/Stearyl/Behenyl Dimer Dilinoleate,Cetearyl Alcohol,Stearic Acid,C12-20 Alkyl glucoside, Dimethicone,Jojoba Esters,Beeswax,Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer,Inulin Lauryl Carbamate,Phenoxyethanol,Batyl alcohol, Cyclomethicone,Glycol Stearate SE,Methyl Paraben,Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Carbomer,Hydrogenated Lecithin,Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer,Lecithin,Propyl Paraben,Tocopheryl Acetate,Triethanolamine,CI 15985,Fragrance,Polysorbate 60,Squalane,Adenosine,Hippophae Rhamnoides Extract,Xanthan gum,CI 19140,Disodium EDTA,Sodium Hyaluronate,Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil,Diopropylene Glycol,Pearl Extract,Propylene Glycol,Royal Jelly

I find Holika Holika skincare products to be rather heavy in terms of packaging. While I do think the packaging in the black caviar line looks expensive, the glass bottle adds weight to the product itself. Packaging aside, this seems like a good product. Erasing current wrinkles and preventing them in the future is something I definitely wouldn't mind.

Secret Key Syn-ake Anti Wrinkle & Whitening Ampoule ($31.50)
This ampoule has a double function of whitening and wrinkle reduction. It fills in wrinkles on the skin's surface with syn-ake peptide. The whitening ingredients are extracted from cowberry trees, extracts which are known to suppress the formation of melanin.
Directions: Apply to cleansed and toned skin. Rub your hands until heated and wrap hands around face for optimal absorption.
Ingredients: Water, Glycerin,Dipropylene glycol,Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate,Arbutin,Imperata Cylindrica root extract,Viscum Album Leaf Extract,Dimethicone, Alcohol Denat,Citrus Paradisi Fruit Extract, Hydrogenated lecithin,Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclohexasiloxane, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil,Acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Potassium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer,Disodium EDTA,Adenosine, Niacinamide,Punica Granatum Fruit Extract,Chamomilla Recutita Flower Water,Sodium Hyaluronate,Portulaca Oleracea Extract,Centella Asiatica Extract
Secret Key has a whole Syn-ake line for whitening and anti wrinkling. Syn-ake is Synthetic Snake venom. Some have said the results of snake venom are better than Botox. (Never had Botox but now I'm expecting miraculous results. I'll be sure to let you know!) Snake venom temporarily inhibits muscle activity which prevents and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Syn-ake is a synthetic tripeptide that mimics the effects of snake venom when applied to the skin. After about three weeks of consistent application, users should notice a difference. Alcohol denat is the only irritating ingredient in this ampoule.

Secret Key UV Cut High Protection Sun Cream ($10)
A highly moisturizing sun cream that is lightweight and non-sticky. It provides optimal sun protection with SPF 50 PA+++.
Directions: Apply cream evenly on your face and neck at the last stage of the skincare routine. Reapply as needed.
The ingredient list is in Korean and I couldn't find a translation online. I had to resort to actually reading the Korean and translating all by my lonesome. This is a chemical sunscreen with octyl methoxycinnamate (OMC), octyl salicylate, phenylbenzimidazole, and octocrylene. Remember that chemical sunscreens are not immediately effective and require application 20-30 minutes before sun exposure. The PA+++ refers to UVA protection. I've stopped using The Yeon All Day Sun Cream because it was feeling a bit thick for my current skin type. And I suspect it might be the product that's causing my recent onset of breakouts. I'm currently testing out sunscreens so this Secret Key sun cream is a welcome addition.

Final Thoughts
This was a fantastic box and all the products fit in with the theme of remaining #ForeverYoung. I'm really surprised it hasn't sold out, so grab it now if you can. The box is $39 with a value of $91.02. I purchased a Face Shop Aura CC Cream along with the Fountain of Youth box so I was able to use the code MAKEUPLOVE along with VIP points for a bargain price.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by,
Jennifer
