Memebox A Year of Masks Black Friday Vault Box

Memebox launched three Black Friday Vault Boxes this year. There was a Skincare and Makeup Vault for $149 with a value of $363, a Makeup Vault for $79 with a value of $195, and A Year of Masks for $79 with a value of $302 containing 100 of Memebox best selling sheet masks. Yup, I was gunning for A Year of Masks, as was everyone else it seemed.

Each day, from Nov. 26-29, Memebox released the vault boxes at a certain time which the public was aware of. The first two days it was a lost cause. I was visiting family in Ohio and dealing with very slow internet and a very old router. It took a few minutes for the site to even load. By then, all three vault boxes would be sold out. At that point, I REALLY wanted the box because I didn't think I could get it. The third day all hope was not lost because a brand new router was purchased. I was on the site a few minutes before the release time and managed to put the box in my cart. Before I could click purchase, the box was sold out one minute later. WHAT???!!!

BUT, my best friend swooped in and came to my rescue. She was determined to get the masks and happened to stumble upon a reddit post where a girl mentioned how she managed to purchase the box. Yes, there was a strategy and my best friend practiced how to do this beforehand. Anyway, it was a difficult box to purchase and I'm very thankful to my BFF who also happened to be in Geneva at the time.

With the help and encouragement of my best friend, we filmed an unboxing video. My first video ever, please be nice! There are definitely a few things I wish I could say and do over again.

Now the fun part, here are the contents of the box. I've listed the prices (not the retail value but the purchase price) according to Memebox which can be slightly inflated in comparison to other Korean based sites. For example, the SNP Animals Masks are listed as having a retail value of $3 at Memebox but you purchase each one for $2.35.

It turns out you wear the Warming Eye Masks to sleep which may not be your cup of tea. Personally, I have trouble sleeping through the night and move around a bit so wearing something on my eyes will be bothersome.

So here's the complete tally...Memebox included 105 masks, yes, 105!!! The total value of the masks according to my calculations is $202.50. It's about a $100 less than the $302 retail value Memebox claimed. The inflated value of the masks doesn't bother me at all because you're still getting a great deal at $79 for 105 masks. I'll be reviewing most of the sheet masks I received in the box, so look out for future reviews.
