Etude House Sugar Tint Balm Review

I have a serious addiction when it comes to lip products and I always try to talk myself out of purchasing more. Obviously, I caved and couldn't help myself when I saw these cute Sugar Tint Balms($8) on the Etude House website. I believe they're fairly new products and haven't really heard or seen anyone talk about them.

Product description: This Sugar Tint Balm comes with a sweet color that gently melts onto lips for long-lasting soft and moist lips.
There are a total of 8 shades available:
#1 Strawberry Milk
#2 Cranberry Pie
#3 Apple Kiss
#4 Tomato Ketchup
#5 Pink Macaroon
#6 Grapefruit Tea
#7 Grape Jam
#8 Blackberry Jelly
On the Etude House website they were listed by number rather than name. When I received these, the shade names were written on the box along with the number. I purchased #2, 3, 7, and 8.

To start off with, I love the packaging. It's cute, simply designed, and sturdy at the same time. The cap twists off instead of pulling it off. You twist it and then you'll hear a small click to open and close it. Now you don't have to worry about the cap coming off in your purse!

I always smell a product first, just like when I eat food. Scent is a big deal for me, especially with lip products and foundations. The balms have a light, fruity fragrance to them. At first I thought they smelled like cherry fruit snacks but now I'm not sure exactly what they smell like. In any case, I like the smell of these and don't mind it.

I wasn't expecting much pigmentation on these, since they are listed as balms. I was wrong about this assumption since you can definitely build up to the amount of color you want. They're all beautiful colors and I see myself using them all the time. I'll probably put one in each of my purses so I don't forget to carry them around. They are easy to reapply and you won't need to look in a mirror for reapplication. I got about 3 solid hours of wear time and probably more if I didn't really eat or drink during that time. I'm always drinking a glass of water so that would be the reason for the shorter wear time. Even when the balm wears off, you get a nice stain left behind on your lips. The tint balms are also very moisturizing so you don't have to worry about this feeling uncomfortable on your lips.

                                                               FINAL THOUGHTS
I love these!!! I will purchase shades #4, 5, and 6 in the near future. They're relatively inexpensive and not like your typical lip balm. They offer good pigmentation, are moisturizing for the lips, and don't have an offensive scent. What more can you ask for from a lip product?

Where to buy
