Time out: A.H.C Miracle Multi Cream Review

Hi everyone! Today I'm excited to introduce a new series I've named "Time out." These posts will be dedicated towards reviews of products I've been trying out or using on a regular basis. At the end I'll try to give a definitive thumbs up or down for the product. Sometimes I am on the fence about things I try but I'll make sure to give reasons why I feel that way. So, this leads me to my first time out review with the A.H.C miracle multi cream.

This cream was from the Memebox Black Friday Special Edition #4. The product is 100ml valued at $78. A little pricey but, believe me, a little goes a long way! In the product description the multi cream provides moisture surge that lasts up to 48 hours long and contains over 85% of pure essential oils for repairing and firming up damaged, aging skin. It cleans up dull complexion by removing dead skin cells and protects skin from external stimulation by creating a thin protective barrier over top. Plus, its gentle formula is free of paraben, alcohol, benzophenone, mineral oil, and formaldehyde. You can see the ingredient list for yourself down below.

I decided to do a little research online and find out more about the company A.H.C which stands for
Aesthetic Hydration Cosmetics. The actress Kang Sora is the face of A.H.C. If you're into Korean dramas you would recognize her from the highly popular drama Misaeng. I'd never heard of them before and there wasn't much information online except for a short description on their facebook page. They are a Korean company providing professional aesthetic skincare. Currently used by skincare clinics, dermatological hospitals, cosmetic surgeries in partnership with professional research centres, and cosmetics companies around the world. Hm, this is a rather generic description, but sounds good to me.

                                                                     First Impressions

I like the packaging and it looks nice and sturdy. Bonus points for providing a spatula. I always cringe when I think of dipping my fingers into a cream jar even if I just washed my hands. When I first opened the jar, I was frightened and probably had a look of horror on my face. You can see how thick the cream is, almost like a balm. According to the directions you can use this as a facial cream, overnight pack, massage cream, and even as lip balm to dry, chapped lips. (I can also read Korean with the proficiency of a fifth or sixth grader since I'm Korean-American and the side of the box says you can also use this on any rough areas like your elbows or feet) For reference I have combination skin in the winter and only get dry on the cheeks when I apply acne medication. I immediately thought this would be like applying Crisco to my face. The scent was pleasant with hints of citrus and lemon.

                                                                  My current thoughts

I have been using this for about a week and a half now and it looks like I've barely dipped into the cream. This will last me FOREVER! I may even start using this on my elbows and my husband's feet since he's got the heels of a crocodile. I used to use a facial oil and then a sleeping pack but now I just use the cream to moisturize my face. It blends in wonderfully to the face and does feel a little greasy upon first application but quickly sinks in. In the jar, the cream smells really nice but has a much stronger scent when you apply it to the skin. It doesn't bother me too much as it fades. But, for you ladies out there who are sensitive to fragrance, you might want to take note and think twice about using this. Also, I suffer from hormonal acne and this has not aggravated my acne at all! The ingredients seem safe in this product and I've been paying more attention to what I put on my face.

                                                                FINAL THOUGHTS

That's right, it's a thumbs up! I'm really happy with this cream for my winter skincare routine. It makes my facial skin feel baby soft without irritating my acne prone skin. However if you have oily skin you might want to avoid this but it's a great choice for anyone with extremely dry to combination skin.
