Memebox Lucky Box

I decided to go against my better judgement and purchase the Lucky Box. I was so pleased with the last one, you can read about it here, that I thought I'd push my luck a second time.

Let me tell you right off the bat, I wish I'd gone with my gut instinct and purchased something else. First of all, I had to contact customer service because my box hadn't shipped out after 5 business days. That's extremely rare for Memebox so my order must have somehow gotten lost in the system. A quick email to Maxwell resolved the issue. He responds promptly and gets things taken care of whenever I've had an problem with something. My box arrived almost a week and a half later and the products inside seemed like stuff the company wanted to get rid of in their warehouse that wasn't selling and taking up space. In fact 3 of the products in this box were from the Rave Box #UntzUntz which didn't seem to be popular and 2 from the Mustaev Box.
There are 7 items in the box which is more than a usual Memebox since a typical box contains 5. Let's look at what I received.

ETUDE HOUSE PLAY NAIL STICKER No. 09 Kitsch Eyes ($3.50)
Product Description: A pop art sticker with playful and brilliant eye shaped icons.
How to Use: Apply a base coat onto your nail and let it dry. Cut your desired decal design out and slowly peel the protective transparent film. Place the decal cut out onto the nail and press gently to allow better adhesion. Put a top coat for a glossy finish.
Oh, where to begin with this...I don't paint my nails or get them done so I guess it doesn't matter what the nail stickers look like. But, OMG, who wants eyes on their fingernails??? And don't they look creepy? I hope I'm not offending anyone out there who actually likes this sticker design but it's definitely not my style. Comment below if you want me to include this in an upcoming giveaway or in the trash this goes.

ETUDE HOUSE PRINCESS EYELASHES Volume 01 ($4)
Product Description: Fill out sparse eyelashes with these voluminous homemade lashes. They'll stay on securely all night.
How to Use: Cut falsies to fit the length of your eye as needed. Apply an appropriate amount of glue on false eyelashes, and wait 5 seconds for the glue to partially dry. Attach the false eyelashes on the root lines of your eyelashes.
I don't really like to wear mascara because it irritates my eyes. So false eyelashes are something that won't work for me. They also look freaky in the packaging to me but I'm sure lash wearers aren't bothered by it. These are definitely going into my upcoming giveaway this month.

CLIO PRO SINGLE SHADOW P16 Wild Thing ($12)
Product Description: This sebum control powder absorbs sweat and sebum for long lasting, vivid color to create dramatic eyes.
How to Use: Using an eyeshadow brush or ring finger apply a moderate amount on the outer-v of the eyelid, and work the color inward creating a soft gradient as you go toward center of the eyelid. Then blend out any hard edges with a fluffy eyeshadow brush for a smooth eyeshadow look.
Meh, it's a single Clio shadow. I'm really happy with my single XO Memebox shadows so this is another giveaway item. It's interesting that it has sebum controlling capabilities but I'm perfectly happy with my palette shadows.

MUSTAEV EASY GO EYEBROW BRUSH Pink ($15)
Product Description: This firm angled brush is ideal for filling sparse eyebrows or achieving that smooth blend and transition from the inner edges of your brow to the outer edge.
I also don't use brow powder or do anything to them except pluck the occasional stray hair. I could use this as an eyeliner brush but that's why I use pencil liners. I have an eyeliner brush like this but I think I've only used it once. The pink is a nice touch but not enough to make me want to use it.

MUSTAEV BRUSH CLEANER SPRAY ($16)
Product Description: A brush cleaner for a quick and convenient cleansing. This spray removes makeup debris and bacteria, while also protecting and conditioning the brush hairs.
How to Use: Put the brush on a clean cloth or paper towel and spray the bristles 3-4 times. Wipe gently, front and back, several times. After the cleansing give the brush a few minutes to air dry.
Finally, a product I could use. I'm almost out of my daily brush cleaner spray and this is a huge 6.75 oz bottle. It's reasonably priced and will last me forever.

INNISFREE WINE JELLY SLEEPING PACK ($20)
Product Description: Wine is known for containing some specific kinds of antioxidants that play a major role in preventing free radical damage to skin (aging). So do yourself a favor and introduce some wine into your skin care regimen! This Innisfree sleeping pack is formulated with enriched wine extracts from France. Its Fresh formula is quickly absorbed and lifts away dead cells, creating a protective moisture barrier that keeps skin continuously hydrated round the clock.
How to Use: At the last step of skincare routine apply appropriate amount to skin and gently massage. Rinse off sleeping pack in the morning.
Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Squalane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, PEG-240/HDI Copolymer Bis-Decyltetradeceth-20 Ether, Cyclohexasiloxane, Wine Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Citrus Usshiu Peel Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Orchid, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Cetearyl Alcohol, C 12-16 Alcohols, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Polysorbate 60, Cetearyl Glucoside, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Palmitic Acid, Glyceryl Caprylate, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Benzophenone-5, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance
I've already mentioned in previous posts that I only use sleeping packs in the dead of winter. I usually wake up extra greasy if I use them in any other season. I may actually test this one out and, if it doesn't work for my skin type, pass it off to my mom or a friend.

MISSHA FRESH COLORFUL MAKEUP SPONGE 25 pieces ($2.76 at Korea Depart)

Product Description: Soft, jelly-like material helps to apply base makeup products thoroughly. Comes in various sizes and shapes so you can choose according to your needs.
How to Use: Spread base makeup with the large slope part. Improve coverage with gentle patting.
I think these sponges will come in handy for applying foundation and concealer. I love my Real Techniques Sponge but I hate having to clean it every 2-3 uses. I can toss these sponges when they get dirty and they come in different sizes which is pretty cool. Think I'm the most excited about using the sponges.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Sorry for the lackluster post! Clearly I wasn't all that thrilled about the contents of the box. You definitely take your chances when you order the Lucky Box and I wasn't all that lucky. I won't be using 4 products in the box which, hopefully, someone will be happy to receive later in the month. This box is $29 when it's available on the site. The box is non-refundable so you're stuck with what you don't like. Each box is guaranteed to have a minimum value of $41 but you can receive up to $144 worth of 5 full sized products from previous boxes.

Make sure to follow me on Twitter and Facebook for updates.

Thanks for stopping by,
Jennifer
