Sephora Haul

I haven't shopped at Sephora in store or online since December of last year and I fully intend to make up for that as we get closer to the end of the year when there are more sales and promotions. Tomorrow is the last day of Sephora's Beauty Insider Appreciation Week where Beauty Insiders, VIB, and VIB Rouge earn extra points on all purchases. I only picked up a few things because I'm waiting for the VIB discount that happens around November. I'd rather save some money than earn points (I've been hoarding 1500 points since last year) although the new Rewards Bazaar that happens every Tuesday and Thursday does look tempting. Anyway, here's a quick look at what I purchased.

Sephora Collection The Getaway ($21)

I've been looking for a bigger travel sized makeup bag and this seemed to fit the bill, plus it was in the sale section for $11. Unfortunately it's no longer available on the site but it may come back in stock at some point. The dimensions of the bag are 6 3/4" x 9" x 3". I do wish it were just a few inches longer lengthwise but maybe it will help me minimize the amount of toiletries I travel with. The mesh pouch in the middle is detachable which could come in handy. I'll test out the durability of the bag fairly soon since I'll be spending 3-4 nights in the hospital after my C-section.

Bite Beauty The Perfect Pair High Pigment Pencil Lip Set ($14)

I just decluttered a bunch of lip products and the point was to keep them to a minimum. But, I couldn't help myself and rationalized the purchase by convincing myself that the lip pencils are not a full size product. I purchased both lip sets and each set comes with 0.05 oz x 2. One duo contains nude shades, Chablis and Rhubarb, and the other contains bolder shades, Tannin and Quince.

Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain ($14)

I already had the shade 12 African Violet and wanted to pick up a few more shades. I'll wait to pick up some more during the VIB sale when there's an actual discount but I decided to go with 09 Watermelon Slice. For a long wearing, matte lip product, the lip stain is quite comfortable to wear and it's moderately priced at $14. African Violet isn't exactly the most flattering shade on me which is why I wanted to try a few others. Thinking of maybe doing a review on these in the future so I don't want to go into too much detail.

I've been pretty interested in Sephora's in house products, particularly their lip products and foundations. Their Perfection Mist Airbrush Foundation ($28) is supposedly a dupe for the Dior Airflash Spray Foundation and it's a fraction of the cost. I'll definitely use the 10 HR wear foundation sample to get an idea of the formula since it's a product I've been eyeing as well.
